anyone here ever worked with real carbon fiber? How difficult is it? thinking of maybe making some trim panels for the fiero interior but if i do it i wanna use the real stuff not a vinyl print

Ramos just built a boat hull out of it.

What I would do is build it out of glass, bondo, sand, paint a basecolor, and then apply a single layer of cf over your smooth surface. You'd get the look, it would be cf, but the finishing would probably be easier. <--just a guess

i was considering that M5, because that way i wouldn't ruin the original panels, and i think the CF look comes from the depth, not necessarily having nothing behind it, but i don't have any experience with it either, so i'm probably wrong as hell

maybe i'll get some later and actually try it, can't hurt
