An 03 5 series should be mint. The ones that aren't you really shouldn't buy as the owner has to be crazy to not take care of a car that new. Hell my 91 is pretty mint...

However, I am going to take back my naysaying on that car. I read 530i and was thinking you were looking at one of the v8 cars. The 3 liter v8 they made was teh suck. That is the newer 3.0 I6 which is a great engine. That car is sweet. I just read that way too fast the first time. Sorry mang! If you like it and its a good deal, I would like it too. The E39 5 series body may go down as one of the best driving 4 doors ever. It is really a sweet car.

The 5 speed does help a lot in that car, and if it has a sports package with the larger rims/tires and better seats it is even sexier.

It's a doctors wife's car, not a frickin' dent, scratch, nick, or mark on it. No one has sat in the back seat, and it doesn't even look like anything has been put in the trunk.

Let's just say they want to get rid of it.

And, it only has ~ 17, 000 km's on it. ~ 10, 500 miles ... roughly 3500 per year. So ... I'd be an idiot not to buy it and keep it. Worst case scenario, I buy it, sell it, and walk away with a profit. I'll have to try and work a deal when I get home - perhaps a straight up trade for the '02 2500HD. Got a good enough deal on that thing that I'd come out ahead in the trade, even if I wound up selling it.
