how come i never saw you in the decware forum ?

Don't know, I'm everywhere my brother . Not sure there is an audio related message board I'm not a member of :)

Reading through that overclocking link Kickin posted there is no way in hell you can cool 474w comming from a tiny little pentium 4.

That is almost as much heat as what thoes little 29cc engines for weed wackers produce.

Not even bringing up the type of power supply you would need to run that, a CD, Hard drive, and motherboard all at the same time.

the wicked one is pretty weird...a combination between 4th order bandpass and a folded horn. some of the people on the decware forum said that, acording to the horn characteristics, it's shouldn't have any bass. but it's not the case..

Not even bringing up trying to run a good VGA card also...

Yeah , I was told that using 8's in it wouldn't produce desirable results on the low end . Made me wonder what they were expecting :)

Because the horn isnt what gives it bass, the 4th order configuration does. The horn allows it to extend up to 5,000Hz assumeing you have adequite drivers. :fing34:

Basically its a lopsided 4th order bandpass.

Im getting the MDF mold for mold ready today.

I am contemplating how I want to do this, last mold came out odd shapped.

Explain how bass horns work then. Know a guy with 4 18's horn loaded in the floor of his theater room. Jurasic park takes on a whole new feel in his theater :)

I could tell you how I made mine , but then I would have to kill you :)

No, not bass horns in general dont work. But the size of the horns in the Wicked one arent of substantial size to have any affect on the bass.

Bass horns have to be massive to have any affect on output :).

But I know you know that.

I wish I had a routerand jig, it would make it a lot easier.

I wouldn't say it has no effect , the increase in efficiency helps add to the bottom end too :)

I would say don't do anything I wouldn't do while your off . But that's like not saying anything at all :D:)

i don't think so...

then the horn would be useless. if you simulate the wo as a 4th order bp, you get a very bad efficiency. which is not true.

the wo can be modified to be used as a center channel.

I am thinking about making several steps with MDF rings and then takking filler and running that around on the inside. Then pringing out the desired flare, transfering that to MDF and then putting a dowle rod in the mdf, hooking that up to a jig to keep it centered and rotating on a perpendicular axsis and just scoup the filler around in there untill i get the desired look.

When it cures i will sand the hell out of it then take a negative mold of it with fiberglass. Transfer the Negative mold to an MDF Jig, sand, fill, and wax it.

I then make a positive mold and that is my port end. :)

SO MUCH FIBERGLASS! :(
