I've heard very few that compare.

Zach Wylde has a few that could argueably be better. So does Hendrix... But something about heartbreaker that strikes a nerve.

It's kidna sad that in all of this new chitty "rock" (aka emo bull chit) there isnt a single one that can pull a solo like back in the late 60's through the 80's.

My generation's Music = Suck for the most part.

There are even a few good guitarist's in the grundge bands of the 90's. But it wasnt the instraments that made them popular. Counting Crows = Awsome lyrics.

Jimmy Paige is good, no doubt...but he's not in my top five for guitarists...

I think the *best* strictly guitar solo ive heard, truthfully, is when Zach wylde did the National Anthem...

What sucks is the only recodings are low quality video recordings. If it sounds that good on compressed video I can immagine what it sounded like in real life.
