does anyone have some sites that gives tips for playing Texas Holdem? I'm trying to learn how to play better. I've been playing with some friends here lately and need some pointers.

Buy a book, it is all mathematical formulas on your odds. The only problem is that noobs throw the odds out by not playing right.

yeah I finally just talked to my old room mate who plays online poker and out at the casinos. He said he's got complicated books(basically saying something I shouldn't read since I'm a noobie) that's all like mathematical formulas and stuff so he pointed me to a forum. Read the stickies and now I'm going to hastings here in a minute to see if they have the book the site suggested. It's called Miller's Getting Started in Hold 'em. I'll read that and then go from there. I've been playing tiltpoker like all last night and when I woke up today. I'm 3,400 up from were you start.....lol. I'm an aggressive player .

Said he didn't care for it but he and I disagree on a lot of things, lol. Course some things we do agree on so maybe it isn't all that great. Only time will tell.

I wouldn't take anything he likes or dislikes with more than a grain of salt. As far as I know he has never actually finished an install; however, in this case I don't think it can touch the 880 from reading through the manual.
