Workouts to start in about a week.

Damn vacations. No good gym local, and no desire to go run.

My fat ass needs more exercise.

Hmmmm, just realized I haven't bought computer parts since GoogleGear changed their names to ZipZoomFly. Anyhow, are Seagate's drives still as high in quality as they used to be? I'm going to be "needing" a 1TB external drive pretty soon...WD's have been hit and miss, at least they used to be...

All of the companies are having some issues right now, the switch to perpendicular recording hasn't been easy on any of them.

Seagate is still very good.

Wonderful, its good to see some brands haven't gone completely in the chitter.

*stares at eD, Adire, Apple, Sony, et al*

Ha.

I realize I forgot to comment, I feel the best about Seagate...at least from working with all of the companies R&D departments.

so I had a bit of a crisis this afternoon...

When I get home in the Camaro, I see that the gas line next to the carb is leaking a bit so I tighten it up. Well that just twists the line and causes it to open up the leak more so now gas pours out of it. So that car's out of the equation. I quickly throw the driver's seat and seatbelt in the Impala and get that ready to go. And I go to start it and.... nothing. Thank god it's only a dead battery. So I get a ride to Checker and back, get the new battery in, and that does the trick. I have a working car once again.

Stop answering PM's, it worked for me. :D

Heck, I got PM'ed a few days ago by that asshat that lit his VW on fire if I knew Justin T's cell number.

*flushing noises ensue*

Hmmm, I thought that Get Perpendicular thing was some sort of marketing tactic or advertiseneering....

The bits used to lay flat they are now standing up. Hypothetically this would let say a 100gB drive hold more than a tB; however, they can't control the head accurately enough to fully utilize the media. They also have media problems in that the media isn't all that flat causing the head to jump much like a skier on a ski jump. Track spacing in nm, media flatness in um doesn't make things easy.

So madisound is out of the NS3-193 anywhere else I can buy from?

www.Solen.ca

Funny thing is of course, I am pretty sure Solen gets them from Madisound.

Boo

Not as bad as it sounds, Madisound is the N.American (or perhaps American) importer of a lot of drivers and then act as a wholesaler to other retail locations.
