I was really excited about making all of you SSA guys cry in Fantasy Football.

What is the point in it? I watch the games on TV and need no more. What will Fantasy do for someone like me? ? ? Nothing other than take up precious time I don't have.

I dunno though I just don't see the truck looking that good with those fender flares on stock lift. But I might have discovered tonight that the flares can be removed ( I think there glued along the seem of the top)

But I know you always will make compromises. Point In Case - I will add a 25lb Icon with a ported box, 2 (eventually 3) Amps, and loads of deadener. Plans are for a tool box, air compressor, train horns, extra battery (if needed) and HO alt (if needed). So I'm already killing myself with weight in that department.

I also plan to keep the 5.3 backed with the 4L60e. If I REALLY wanted to get serious and not care about gas mileage a 6.0L or 408 would be going in, backed by a 4L80e no questions asked.

So yes power/speed is important, but so is a bad ass truck with functionality as well as speed. When I want to be faster I'll buy a 2000 Camaro/Trans Am call up my buddy Jared and say lets make it happen and be running 11.5 1/4's and 1.5x 60's on Cam

It isn't that the German cars are expensive to insure, but that you are looking at ones that are expensive to fix and regularly crashed. My M5 insurance is nearly half the price of my Silverado's. Progressive, and I was quoted $1300/6 months. The Volvo They quoted me $1K/6 months, and even the 04 S60R I looked at was $1200/ 6 months. I think for the most part it was becuase 1, the Volvo is a brand new model (C30), and the A3 is only a few years old, but shit. I have a perfect driving record, always pay my bill on time, never made a claim with ANY company, a few months shy of 30, etc. . .

I finished my box. I was pretty pissed off about one corner. I couldn't get the wood to seal 100%. I ended up filling it with glue when I saw it yesterday, then every edge got a THICK layer of silicone. It's only 1 layer of 3/4 birch ply with 2 braces in it. I should have just about 6 cubes, maybe a bit more after driver displacement.
