what would happen if someone threw 300 watts to a btl?

If all in ideal enclosures, it would play louder than a BL or Q with the same power.

If you were expecting a problem with doing that, then you need to do so more research. It will NEVER hurt a sub to give it less power unless the operator compensates like an idiot with the stupid knob, err gain knob.

people don't get that concept.

I think the second pic is pretty awesome. Looks like a tiny little Cesar in deep thought about the fate of the republic.

Well. i hooked my sub up to a bxi 1608 today and it was just a little bit louder than my friends Q. or did you mean if you put 300 watts to each woofer the btl would be louder?

You asked about 300w. No matter the power, even at 1W the BTL will be louder than a Q as long as they are both in reasonably good enclosures. ALWAYS.

You need to do some more reading. Much more. For instance I currently only have around 200w at full output going to my sub from a JL 1000/1. I don't need anymore, it works perfect for my setup. How do I achieve this, easy just keep the gain DOWN.

Almost bought a Studio 500 before buying the AG 750. 'Twas $100 more than the AG :(

Love those amps, only thing I don't like is their signal input limit is about 2volts I think. :(

Yes, I remember they have a low limit. That kinda scared me, even though I know I only get 2.8~3v out of my Alpine at vol 30.

Only an issue with an Eclipse IMO. Hell the output of my 880 never hits above 2v with my daily listening.

sean whats your week looking like?

Taking care of Aidan

i was gonna ask what my chances are of getting you on the phone somtime this week

PM your contact info and questions, we'll go from there. I have NO idea my schedule as my world just got turned upside down.

did you take a couple weeks off work Sean?

I think I speak for everyone when I say we're happy and excited for you. Really cool time for you now.

so... dielectric grease should just have a thin coat on the inside of the boot and not just gobs of it shot into the boot.....

Thanks for the comments guys, obviously I think he's adorable but I have a rather strong bias.

You may be bias, but I agree.

He's gonna be one big heart breaker bro!!!!

Congrats to you and the W.............I think when you take him out of the hospital, your house will REALLY begin to feel like a home.

I always put it on the ceramic and enough so that it maintains a waterproof seal with the outer boot.

funny how my crude homemade orange peel chicken is still better than anything you can buy from a restaurant around here.....yum yum yum...
