ive been hearing that the tantrum amp can actually get u put in higher power classes in some organizations because of the output at 4ohm..anybody know if this is true or not? and if so what organization does this.

I dont think it is a cheater amp,

something like a Cadence A7HC where it is rated something silly low at 4 like 50 watts, but puts out 1400+ at 1 ohms

the PG I dont think will hold 1 ohms, cheater amps are ones that develop serious power jumps with lower impeadance loads

The Tantrum isn't one ohm stable...it will do 1400+ watts from 2 to 4 ohms, but not below. Whether that makes it a cheater amp or not I don't know, because I don't compete :)
