be patient. I have had my 2 subwoofers since 2005 and I still havnt put both in yet because of super slow income and priority shifts. All I need is a couple fuse holders and blocks with a bit more wire. It will be well worth the wait to do it correctly rather than rush it and risk damage.

well so are you saying that if i dont have a new alt and all of the electrical upgrades i need i cant run that amp all or i wont get all it can give out

Im saying if you install the amp with stock electrical, its possible for you to damage certain components- your amp might be damaged from low voltage. Your alternator might be over worked and burned out from the battery constantly being worked too hard and from huge current draw. You might even cause a fire if you use wires that are well under the recommended gauge size.

how big is your alt now, you should be ok just addin one extra battery for now if its around a 140 amp, since its an suv it should around that size, i think.

its just a stockalt im not sure what amps ill look when i get home

dont think you will get an alt for 150 id look into a 200-250amp alt. an alt that size would be around 3-400

a 1996 chevy blazer, i looked at my alt and all i could find on it ws these two numbers 2400 or 24000 couldnt see it that well and 653341

does anyone know what that means?

call autozone... tell them you need an alt for your truck.... they will ask questions.. you will tell them 6cyl shit like that.... then ask them how many amps it is.....

the internet has basically all the information you would ever need. Even going into something like napa's website and putting in your car will let you know how big your alternator is. Or you can do what I do, and type in "1996 blazer alternator" into a search engine. It's really that easy. Try it. In fact, I would like to see you say "I searched for xxxx and it said this....." before you ask another question.

I dunno I searched on my 1999 Mercury Cougar and it says I havea 130 amp alt for a 2.5 V6

And yours is only a 100 amp alt..
