I have a Mazda excab truck. I have alpine r 6.5 in front with dynomat and 5x7 r in the rear, powered by a pdx 4.100. Just purched a pdx 1.600 for subs need to know what you guys think. I listen to mostly older rock alittle country and very little hip hop. Help please.

fi q's, icons, how many are you looking for? 1 10? 1 12?

yes just for the subs. 1 or 2....10 or 12 you tell me. I am open to your ideas.

i would go with 10's rather than 12's for that style of music. 2 if you have the space, 1 if your tight.

Size of the sub has nothing to do with the genre of music :)

Damm, I"m still under the impression of smaller subs having tighter bass and are better suited for rock n techno. I guess a good sub can hit everything in the proper enclosure?

Your impression is whacked NOT at all the case.

I'd agree with manbeer, an Icon would do great in a sealed box.

A single 12 should be plenty. Is output a priority? Sound goals from your sub woofer?

space you have? just my opinion maybe 2 Rli 10"s in a 1.5ft^3 I think that would do very well for your power and budget
