JBL makes good stuff.....but there is better out there...if this sub fits your budget then its not bad. Ive heard JBL subs for the longest at several local and non-local stereo events and they always seem to do very well.....but like i said with a lil more $$$$ you can get something a lil better......

well i found this sub for $120 totally new, yeap i know there are more options and i thought it, but into the 400 RMS i think is a nice choice . anyways i have already bought it , and i have another subs : one 12" mmats p2.5 , one 12" Re Audio SE series and one 12" diamond audio D6 , dont worry all are used in differents cars.

I assume that depends more on the type and manufacture talkin

what application would you use for the p1222? sq or spl?

Neither, but if I had to run that driver it would be in a sealed enclosure.
