Posted November 10, 200816 yr Im currently looking at a Havoc 15" right now due to good overall responses for sealed enclosures yet still able to play loud as in loud based from personal reviews we have.Based from specs, we can start from 1.5-3.0 CF...Q1: What does CF stand for?Q2: How does the size affect the overall output and sound quality? Q3: Would going towards the smaller size 1.5 be better or towards the maximum of 3.0?Q4: Any experince playing with the box size that possibly was the best size for sealed enclosure?Thank you so much.looking for any inputs you may have.
November 10, 200816 yr 1. Cubic feet. Internal NET volume, not gross.2. Smaller in sealed - tighter response, increased power handling Bigger in sealed - more pronounced low end (deeper sound), mechanical handling decreased3. Depends on your personal taste. What kinds of music do you listen to most?4. Sorry, I'm a ported guy Good choice on sub though! Top notch quality, looks, and service! Edited November 10, 200816 yr by nick_19
November 11, 200816 yr Go big on the box, you can always add wood/etc to the inside of the box to cut down on internal volume if you want to test what its like in less volume.
November 11, 200816 yr Author thanks for the response, hmmm. if there is a trade in efficiency, respose to low octave, then i guess somewhere in the middle would be good but towards the bigger side... hmmm?i listen by the way mostly on rap/hip-hop/r&b but in some moods, rock/trance...and love songs when im with my girl.
November 11, 200816 yr and love songs when im with my girl.awww. hehe. I think you'd be best served with a sealed box somewhere in the middle.
