hey guys how big of a difference will there be between the 2 pbx12's i have now and the pbx 15's. all of this is in a mazda protege hatchback and i wanna know will the 15's make a bigger difference than the 12's the amp is an orion 2500d.

You actually have ES series, not the PBX, same cone, different sub. If you step up from ES 12s, to PBX 15s, the difference will be huge.

no i got the extreme 12's is that the es ? cause the cone says pbx here is a picture i have the xs-12dv.1's

thanks denim will there be a big difference is overall preformance over the 12's lower notes etc...

if it is the exact same sub with the same power, (only difference being the 12 - 15 change) there is not going to be much of a difference, you can change your tuning if you want to get a different out put from your subs

def. going to change wattge going from 2500on the 12's to 4000 on the 15's switching from orion 2500d to a ma hk400d and the ma puts out about 3600wrms at 14.4 so a little bit more than the orion. what would you tune them to i want alot of bass :-)

I have not played with the XS yet, but what sound are you going for?

i want soething that is just crazy loud what i have now hit a 146 on the new tl im looking for somethign a little more than and i think the 15's and the hk400d can help me get there im looking for more spl that sq if thats what your question was

If you are looking at SPL, see if you can get the 03 version of the XS 15's....easy to spot, as they are black instead of chrome. I have a pair in my rex, & push 4 Interfire IFD100c's to em & look at my sig for my SPL #'s. on the old TL with the mics we are doing 163.5's, & 175.9 in the port.....

what I have found though is the new 15's SOUND better, but don't take as much abuse, although the memphis you have won't be pushing them that hard. I would def. step up to the 15's over the 12's.
