February 9, 200520 yr sweet just checked email, maybe I can run up to Home Depot tomorrow<{POST_SNAPBACK}>important side note Aaron:BBP6 doesn't calc slot ports very well!!You'll notice that it has 4 boards for the port. Thats obviously wrong...You only need the top & two sides. I account the board thickness appropriatly in the program, s oyou dont need to worry about that. But only build the slot port with the top & two sides. If you want a full explanation, I'll type on in tomorrow during the day. Otherwise, I'm going back to the couch & watching this movie -and-Kent? Calm down yah wanker.-Nick

I plan on starting up a convo with some other OEM's...Maybe Mike @ SS?Problem is... what can they do that'll work with a 1.5" coil?Unless someone's willing to graft a Pup cone & cap into another woofer's soft parts.

February 10, 200520 yr I wish to have no dealings with RE. I am thinking about adire though. The 15" pup should be here late this or early next week. I'll go from there.
February 10, 200520 yr You won't get anywhere with Adire right now. I can tell you that much.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>any particular reason? other then them reorganizing et al?
February 10, 200520 yr You won't get anywhere with Adire right now. I can tell you that much.any particular reason? other then them reorganizing et al?That's the exact reason. Well, to my knowledge at least. Now if you were to come in there and flash a TON of money, you will probably get something done, but a small piece or order, forget about it.

February 11, 200520 yr Author Admin its a cool site, some of my best online audio buddies call home there, but I am not always a fan of some of the other regular posters there, I just never felt all that comfortable there
February 13, 200520 yr Author Admin sweet just checked email, maybe I can run up to Home Depot tomorrowimportant side note Aaron:BBP6 doesn't calc slot ports very well!!You'll notice that it has 4 boards for the port. But only build the slot port with the top & two sides.-Nickwhen you mean the top and two sides, do you mean the top and two sides of the "vent parts" or the top and two sides of the "box parts"meaning are you saying the bottom and sides of the port are the bottom and sides of the box,
February 14, 200520 yr i only mean that the bottom of the port is the bottom of the box. you only need to attach the port sides & top.
February 14, 200520 yr BassBox does not account for a slot port. Just a square port. I use it as a reference for port area, then simply enter 0 for the volume the port displaces, figure out my vent length for desired tuning, then add the interior port walls to the miscellaneous objects inside the enclosure to account for their displacement and BINGO!
