sure wish SI would make a kick ass 6.5" midbass driver.... went to work on putting my XXX6.5" mids in today and am not able to fit them in the door without major modifications done to the panel, which I don't want to do. I knew they were deep but measured before I ordered them and thought I could fit them with a 3/4" baffle but that is not the case.

So now it is back to the design board for midbass drivers for this guy. any suggestions welcome.

didn't mean to get off topic, really was just tryin to incourage SI to make a kick ass mid bass driver. that would be sweeeet

The reps need time to review the info and get back to me before anything is released.  I don't understand why a few of you are really upset about the release of information, but odds are something will be released tomorrow or by the end of this weekend.  :)

I am not upset. Just very impatient, none the less, thats my personallity. I can wait a few more days/ weeks cause I have no money for them even if you were selling now ;)

No crap. With the luck we've had so far, it would be a year. :P

Ryan, thats awsome!! Cant wait to get all the details.

Just saw the photos!  You guys don't know what you're missing.  Also got word that a very high end driver is getting replaced with a new D2 becuase it fared better.

who's high end driver would that be ? :lockd:

Well, it probably retails about the same as a 13W7. But IMO is better than any W7 I've heard to date. Nice Neo motor.

I want to know more!!!! share with us the info.

I think Ryan is talking about this bad boy that did officially get replaced with the new 15. The driver below has been our home reference for MANY years (it stayed in while we had the last 15's in stock), but it is now sitting inverted in a corner by itself waiting to be packed up.

What the hell!? I thought the new subs were supposed to be cheaper to produce than the old one? Why is the price going up?

We had a custom tooled motor built, and our subwoofers are being built here in the US. We were looking elsewhere, but this method is what is right for the Mag's.
