Box is for a FI BL 12 in a Dodge Stratus. I went with a 28Hz tuning for more SQ over SPL. Please share your thoughts

Port Type: 4" Flared Port

Port Tuning: 28 Hz

Number of Ports: 1

Net Internal Volume: 2.5 cubic feet

Port Volume: 0.0066 cubic feet

Subwoofer Displacement: 0.1500 cubic feet per subwoofer

Total Internal Volume: 2.6566 cubic feet

Number of Terminal Cups: 1 per subwoofer

Front Baffle: Single-Layer Front Baffle - 3/4" Thick

Box Dimensions:

22.625" (w) x 20.125" (d) x 13.75" (h)

not bad but id use more port area like 2 4" or just do a slot port with like 30in of port area it will need to be 36in long.

What year Stratus?

more port area. at least 2, even 3 four inch ports would do a lot better. like stated, a slot port would be a good idea imo

think about what Fi recommends. scott recommends 12-16 sq. inches per cube, just like most of the sub companies out there.

you have 5 per, you have too little port, and you'll definately have PORT NOISE.

I don't know how you got the port volume to be 0.0066 cubic feet, but it's wrong. It has to be more than that.

Port displacement has to be ATLEAST .09 cubic feet or so

with a 2.656 cubic foot box and one 4" areo port you'd need a length of 12.75 to get a 28hz tuning

so.. pi x r^2 x Length

3.14x4x12.75=160.14cubic inches

which converts to .09267 cubic feet 160.14/1728

And as everyone else has stated, run atleast one 6" or 2-4" ports

the only issue is you're box will have to be slightly larger and the two ports will have to be roughly 29" long
