Hey, im new to SSA, but no to car audio. I'm looking for a new sub setup. I have 2 American Bass VFL amps, both putting out about 2000 watts together strapped. I want more SPL than SQ. Im up in the air between 2 Fi BL 12's or just 1 BTL 15. Give me your opinions....

I would go with the 2 12's more cone area.

You can't say for sure that will be better though. Mo' inches doesn't equal mo' betta'.

The BTL is Fi's most efficient subwoofer. It can handle that 2kW with ease.

I'm always more impressed with single subwoofer setups putting up big numbers than I am with multiple woofer setups.

i'd have to agree, i went with a single 15 over multiple 10's/12's and it has not disappointed.

yes, thats exactly what i was thinking. i am leaning more towards a powerful single sub setup. more opinions??

I agree with the single 15. I have a single 15 and love it. But it is also very install dependent.

Chad

also you have to factor in cost.

giving us your enclosure maximum dimensions and location would help too, sometimes people will have the minimum space for 12's and the optimal space for a single 15" :)

I agree it depends on the space available for the enclosure but personally I'm more impressed with less subs more effecient bass
