December 24, 200816 yr I'd say 15 Nightshade or a 15 AA Havoc... Mine loves 4.5 ported to 32 Links...Nightshadehttp://www.sundownaudio.com/nightshade_15.htmlHavochttp://www.ascendantaudio.com/havoc.php Edited December 24, 200816 yr by nick_19
December 24, 200816 yr Are you looking for sheer output?i wanna sound good and get loud..i guess i'm looking for a LOUD SOUND QUALITY setup?budget is 400 for sub and 500 for amp14) The term SPL has one meaning here, to be as loud as possible playing one particular note. The response will be peaky and loud.15) SQ also has a very defined meaning, to reproduce music as it was recorded as exactly as possible. If this isn't your goal, don't use the term.16) LOUD SOUND QUALITY is not a term that is allowed on this board. Use it and you will get warned. SQ & SPL are polar opposites so DO NOT say you want a mix of both.Death Penalty 15"http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart...;products_id=22With A IA 20.1http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart...products_id=111I think this would be a pretty good combo with your budget.Hurry up and order to day. that being said i think bromo's on the right track, the black and blue sale prices are out of this world, that is a hell of a setup for under $1k. you gotta remember you're going to need a fair amount of 1/0, big 3 upgrade, an extra battery or two and perhaps a HO alternator to make the most out of any of the woofers suggested so far.
December 25, 200816 yr Dont port the Q, maybe the "15 Bl is better suited for you. Can I ask why I have seen numerous people switch from Bl's to Nightshades, similar woofers no? Should I just grab the SAZ1500 and Nightshade combo on SSA?

Should I just grab the SAZ1500 and Nightshade combo on SSA?Why do you say don't port the Q?The BL and Nightshade are similar, SIMILAR, not the same. The Nightshade generates more motor force and is more SPL oriented yet just as musical.I say the Nightshade + 1500D would be phenomenal.
December 26, 200816 yr Author with 5 cubes to work with which is better out of the 3aa havocdeath penaltynightshade
December 26, 200816 yr Admin with 5 cubes to work with which is better out of the 3aa havocdeath penaltynightshadeDon't forget to add the SSA ICON to the list, it's a solid performer and really goes after the "lows". Can't go wrong with any of these drivers.
December 27, 200816 yr aa havocdeath penaltynightshadeOut of those 3...I would definately go for an AA Havoc.I Haven't had much experience with Nightshades, but all of the setups I have heard were amazing.IA Death Penalties are pretty good drivers too, and they're on SALE right now.Perhaps you should look into a SSA Icon as well, they are solid performing drivers that sound pretty damn good too. April 11, 200916 yr Author sorry to leave you guys hanging and forgetting to reply. due to some money issues i couldn't get anything right away.. but i got a good deal on a nightshade and saz1500. gonna go pick it up tonight do you guys have any experience with pa drivers? wanna try 2 8's in the rear deck as opposed to 6x9's
April 15, 200916 yr WHen you sa PA drivers you mean what exactly?Do you have a link? Also, just FYI speakers in the rear deck won't do anything for you when you have that much bass back there. It will just make things sound worse. If you want a new front stage, throw out your rear speakers, and spend a bit more on the front stage.
