Posted January 8, 200916 yr ok so word around town in the local audio house in town is lookin to build a car to "out do me" they found a sucker that wants to be me! sooo they have a plan to do 8 mojos.. 2 cheap 12s and a buncha other crap from 15 grand... so work got to me.. and i drove around tell i found this fool... ohh you should have seen his face... anyway... i talked about walling onew of my cars before... now im doing it. i wanna do a simple wall.. nothing crazy.. i wanna do 4 15's or 4 18's.... im thinking 15;'s but first tthing is first... what car should i do it in is the poll working?
January 8, 200916 yr The poll is working. How exactly is your wall going to be? I think 4 18"'s would be a tight fit for a wall in a car..
January 8, 200916 yr Thats how it is down here, its always a competition.Anyways i voted for the 01 towncar, and the 4 15's. im guessing nightshades?
January 8, 200916 yr Author yes sir nightshades.... for some reason i can figure out how to view results on my own poll thanks for voting
January 8, 200916 yr i say do the one that isnt your daily driver but thats just me, i say 4 15's in a wall
January 8, 200916 yr Author i figured out how to view results... well neither is really my daily driver.. i have company trucks.
January 8, 200916 yr if neither is your daily driver choose the car that will take the most shaking, rattling and abuse haha
January 8, 200916 yr I vote which ever one is easier to gut, has the most room, and find parts for.the 01 could be it as I believe you said somewhere you have air bags on it, that would help with the weight.
January 8, 200916 yr Author go for the 01, arent you already deadening it?i did the doors.. and i was trying to avoid doing the roof as i HATE doing headliners... but... it has to be done anyway if this car were a normal lincoln towncar yes it would be simple to get parts for it... but it is a lincoln towncar L.. it is longer in the back seats.. 6 inches longer... so that means door pannels, carpet, headliner, doors and such are all 6 inches longer then other towncars.
January 8, 200916 yr i honestly have never noticed a difference in town cars and headliners are the biggest pain in the ass ever! take it from me im about to do my second headliner fix and possibly deaden the roof
January 8, 200916 yr I voted the 75.............its more of a box shape, seems to have a taller roof, and i think would have a better appeal than the 01 unless u made the fron GREAT glass
January 8, 200916 yr Author i think i would need/want at least 6k to each of the monsters,... the custom nightshades will take 3k each.. i may go that route.as jacob told me that it will be mid to late in the year when the monsters will be released
January 8, 200916 yr i vote the 75 lincoln.... the towncar is just unique in its way and should stay like it is IMO....
January 8, 200916 yr Which one can have the best electrical system? That one would get my vote.Only other thing would be the size of the wall. Make sure the subs will fit with enough port area.AA SMD subs in late Feb. . .
January 8, 200916 yr Well thats another good thing about the nightshades, they really like small enclosures.
January 8, 200916 yr Author im not sure... the 71 has a 1 power out put and a exiter wire, so im sure its pretty normal.. perhaps i could find a 300 amp alt... the 01 has alot of trunk space for cells and amps, it also currently has a 200 amp h/o with the 400 buck option of a dual alt set up.... and with that option also come a 16 volt system!
January 8, 200916 yr ya 16 volt set up sounds sick as hell, and i also think you should try out the smd subs, i heard they are going to be beasts
