thats pretty funny

maybe someone should let me test the new crown amps

LOL...i posted that link at ca.com a LONG TIME AGO

Its cool, especially when your amp can do more than 120Vac :D

just a titbit of info here,

i've got it from a reliable source jbl and crown parted ways late last year. how true it is, i don't know, but i heard it from a guy i trust.

so are jbl amps going to be able to do that anymore? old ones yes, new ones, probably not.

if anyone else can shed more light on this, please do. but from the way i get it, jbl isn't going to be worth looking at here very shortly.

thats not good news, I am a fan of crown amps, they are some of the best for high power systems,

in most of the clubs I worked in, (bar, dance etc) the Crown amps were the best, just sick power and never over heat, in the one club in OC MD I believe there was a 9 Crown stack and it is a very large club, kinda like 3 in one, and none of the gains were higher than 1/3rd, it would have just been to much for the system

Yea, there amps are nice.... my church uses 1 or 2 of em for the sound and some other brand i cant remember.

They have a nice rack of amps, yet they never bump it :lame:

JBL has always had solid amps. Even the amps that are not the Crown series are very good amps. Not AS good, but still well worth the money. FYI, Crown is somehow related to Harman CG.

mmkay, no offense to anyone herer (cause I love you all)...

We've long know that High voltage was the way to go. This is nothing new (even for '03). The question is... how to best use it??

The weakest thing in all of our projects is the speakers.

But lower the weight of the soft parts isnt the only stumbling block...

Does that justify a $5g amp?

ok, to clarify my crown/jbl split. i talked to my friend today..yes, i have some friends..lol..

anyway, they didn't split, but instead lost some key designers, or something of that nature. and yes, the quality is about to go down.

as to a $5g amp..only if u want it. i think each perrson has to justify how much is too much. but in this case, price isn't the only obstacle, size must also be considered. the crown is huge! no suv, no crown...lol

or the entire trunk of a hatch fox body??

yea right....

I could not justify that unless there were cash prizes in dBDrag, which is a whole nother debate.

i spose my real question was towards woofer technology. which is faaaaaaaaaaaaaar behing power suply tech.

but IF i had quite a few grand to burn... i would gladly play with one. by burn, i mean no other debts whatsoever! LoL

ewww. we scared..lol...

Yeah, I have a couple missing. Some PMs too. And I am getting no email notification either on ANYTHING.

I am looking into that now
