Posted January 16, 200916 yr Hi, i just have this dilemma on what to tune my box to for my Fi BL 10 going on the trunk of a Sedani saw in the sticky topic that 32hz is the optimal tuning, does that also apply for Sedans? cause i just had this thought that tuning it to 32hz might not give much punch anymore and will only get loud on lows, is 34-35hz better for a Sedan? Thanks in Advance!-Carlo

January 21, 200916 yr Author i listen mostly to hip hop, rnb, and pop musici talked to the person who's gonna make my boxi think we'll make a t-line box, but im not so sure to what to tune it towhat do you guys suggest, my car is a sedan btw, thanks
January 21, 200916 yr Author yep, gonna take 3/4's of my trunk, lolits all planned out now.. 32hz is alright on a 10" BL on a t-line right? Edited January 21, 200916 yr by carlopogi
January 23, 200916 yr Author @johnecon2001will it still be fine to feed the fully loaded bl 10" with 1500rms in a t-line box?what would be the best tuning for a t-line ?im really in a dilemma, half of my mind is saying to just slam the sub on a 33hz ported-flared box instead..
January 23, 200916 yr Typically a t-line is tuned to the subwoofers fs, in this case either 41.5 for d1 or 40.3 for d2. This seems high but a t-line has lower extension, and the higher frequency results in a smaller box. I don't think I would give it more than 1000 in a t-line.
January 23, 200916 yr Author what exactly will happen to the sub if i feed it like 1500 on a t-line?sorry i'm quite a noob with t-line..if its so complicated like that, then i might just stick with a regular ported box .. hehewhat i actually want to achieve is to be heard from few blocks away, thats why i wanted a t-line..can i achieve that with a ported box? sorry for such many questionsthanks for the tips guys!
January 31, 200916 yr what i actually want to achieve is to be heard from few blocks away, thats why i wanted a t-line..this is where the help stopped. people like you are why there are laws passed that include $1000 fines and vehicle impoundment for noise violations.no one is going to help you piss off your neighborhood and continue to ruin the hobby for the rest of us. if you want to be loud in public, do it at a sanctioned event on a meter. February 1, 200916 yr Author for a t-line box, should i tune it around 37-38?cuz i read somewhere that t-line boxes doesn't need to be tuned so low anymore sinceit can really reach the lowends good already
