Why is it that the IXL 10 and 12 inch subs have 1000 watt power handling ratings but the 15" and 18" are rated at 800 watts??

I thought they were all the same motor and rated at 1000 watts for all models? The IXL18 in the D2 is rated at 1000 watts and im fairly sure the 15 is too, where does it say they are only 800 watts for the larger speakers?

I've seen 800 and 1000, either way I'm sure they'll take 1000 rms.
