Posted January 16, 200916 yr I've been researching car audio for awhile but just now became a member here but so far this is what i have in mind for my system....- Fi 15" Q sealed in a custom box (dont know size yet.. 2.6?) $274- Sundown SAE-1200D $310- Alpine CDA-9886 $299Then i need wires for my amp and my sub... i was thinking of getting THIS for my amp and then use THIS for my subwoofer? Does that work or should i do something else? Also i would need to buy some extra 0 Gauge wire to do the Big 3.... Anything else???Thanx in advance,Alex
January 16, 200916 yr Looks like a good start! But with that amp you will need a minimum of 4 gauge power and ground. I would recommend at least 1 run of 1/0 gauge for power and ground.Try http://www.knukonceptz.com for your wiring. Great prices and good quality.

Also, how much subwoofer wire would i need?EDIT: also how much power cable for the Big 3 do i need (also id do it in 1/0) i was thinkin maybe 10 feet? or 6 feet might do it? Its going in a 1999 Volvo S70 Edited January 16, 200916 yr by Doctor Q
January 16, 200916 yr I'm guessing your going for SQ?that sounds like a real nice setup.yeah grab some extra 1/0 for the big 3 also.
January 16, 200916 yr You might could even get the closing out price on the SAE-1000d. It'll be enough for a Q.
January 16, 200916 yr I would get a bigger amp wiring kit but thats just me. I just got a saz-1000D and i got this kit. I would at least get a 4 gauge kit though.

Typcially 10 feet should be enough, more would be better just to make sure you don't run out before all your grounds have been added.Subwoofer speaker wire depends on how long of a run to your amp.
January 16, 200916 yr i agree on the heavier gauge cable, however i would rather go with pure copper. you could perhaps use 2 or even 4 gauge, it's only about a buck a foot for good 4ga at weldingdepot. however, running 1/0 would be nice because if you decided to add more power further down the road you won't end up pulling a second run of cable through your car. http://store.weldingdepot.com/cgi/weldingd...ner_image=.html
January 16, 200916 yr Author Like i said before i didnt mean to put a 10 gauge kit upp... i thought it was a 1/0 gauge.. and its going in a Volvo S70 like i mentioned beforethanx for all the respones... and about the SQ comment.. yes i want nice SQ but i also wanted a lil SPL and i thought a 15" sub like this would provide both espeically since it is in a small sedan.. if its not loud enough later on i might get a ported box made
