They are WAY over rated... clip very easy... and THD is off the charts......

All amps clip easy. It's just a matter of gain and input voltage.

Thanks guys i worked on it with a killer flu but still managed. I'm very happy how it turned out and im glad i wont have to die now. (I hope) Anyways i new someone would mention about my dads mustache. lol The specs are on the first page of this thread. And bigger?? Really? This box is 5.1 cubic feet big. I thought the BTL is supposed to be anywhere from 3-5? Oh and when we were admiring the work last night my dad mentioned that we should have made a double baffle for it. But that's not hard to do.

you're crippling the sub BIG TIME in that box, got above 4 cf if you want it to perform as it should.

Well the prefab is most likely choking that sub badly.

Now you can run 1200 to the btl, but you wont see it really come alive like it would on 2000.

doublin power might not always add 3 db, yea in physics thats how it works, but the sub will have to be able to handle the doubled power too, also in this occations he has probably gained more than 3 db, added power and a way better box.
