Ok, my friend Want to get a 15" sub.

He is think about doing either a BTL or BL

he has the hifonics bxi 2008D that he got free from a friend.

He wants to feel the bass

should he do the BTL or BL?

the BL will be getting more power than it need, but will the btl get louder even though it will be underpowered, considering how much more efficient the BTL is.

if $$ is no issue, i would buy the btl and save up for an amp that can serve it justice. otherwise, a free amp is a free amp, and a bl is, from what i have gathered, better than most.

or if money is really an issue and you are concerned, buy a sub that is the right RMS for that amp.

The BTL is going to be louder. That's assuming it's put into the proper box.

what sub would match up good with that amp if not a BL

Is he still planning to only stick with only one 15"? I agree wth the 2 ssd's as far as power matching, but that is still around the same price as a 15"btl. He should just wait and save to get the btl and a better amp.

With proper enclosure a fully loaded bl would be fine on that amp.
