im looking to get help designing a new box for my 18" ssd. the box is going in the back of my 00 expedition with the 3rd row seat gone so space isnt a problem. the amp is a rockford t1001bd. specs for the sub say 6-10 cubes 32hz. should i do the 10 cubes? or smaller? and am i better off running the 1 sub at the full power of the amp ( birth sheet says 1400 rms at 1 ohm) or running 2 18s and dividing the power? also if i did go with 2 subs what kinda cubes should the box be?

If the amp really does 1400 RMS, I would do a pair of 18's if you have the room. If not, I would do a pair of 15's.

Do you already have one of the 18's? If so, what coils did you order?

What are the maximum dimension of the area you have?

oh my bad the sub i have now is a dual 2 ohm, next sub will be the same. so i can run my amp at 1 ohm still

Two D2 ohm subwoofers cannot be wired to 1 ohm...I think your stuck with one.
