Posted February 8, 200916 yr I am getting the 15" Q w/bp power but my amp is a profile ap2000 and only puts out 960 rms bridged at 4 ohms. How can I hook up another amp so that I have about 1500 rms going to the sub and also some new 6x8's that I will be putting in?
February 8, 200916 yr You don't need 1000+ watts on a Q. You will be surprised with the output. Another thing, please don't use a monoblock for anything other than subs and midbass, they aren't designed for it.
February 8, 200916 yr didnt we do this topic already.... that amp puts out more then 960 watts... and i know it was another topic... but someone else wanted to run a sub and 2 6x9's on one saz 1500 D

February 18, 200916 yr I was building boxes while some of you were still up the pipe. I started audio in 1989.
February 18, 200916 yr No one caught it. Neither did i till just now. He said that one amp does 960 rms. He wants 1500 by adding another amp. They are 2 different amps. If they were the same, then the rms would go up from 960 to 1920. But since he is aiming for 1500 with the second on, it makes one have the output of 960, and the other put out 540. Make Sense..?
February 20, 200916 yr Yeah, I figured he wanted to use two different model amps and the other was 500 watts or so. That's why I recommended just using the one Profile.
