February 11, 200916 yr Author well i had them both in my avenger in a sealed box with a lanzar optidrive 2000 at half an ohme and they where loud but my amp dosen't work anymore and i would like to cut back on the weight some and cost of an amp. So i tough if it was going to be the same with one y not.
February 11, 200916 yr 1 ported will go lower and require less power, as well as cut the weight factor out. 2 sealed would be louder than 1 ported, 2 ported would be insanely loud..... you actually had them both ported for a while... that was just disgusting loud.2 sealed: large box, heavy, realatively flat responce... power hungry2 ported larger box, will have to be tuned high (again like before) stupid loud, large hump responce1 sealed... either small box, kind of peaky, less power, not so loud or large sealed flatter/lower responce a bit more efficient1 ported less weight, lower extention, less power required, flattest responcebiggest issue... they take a chit ton of power, any less than $300 on an amp and trying to power them both is pointless. if you run them both, youre gonna have to spend a few dollars on a bigger amp and some electrical upgrades.

February 12, 200916 yr Admin Welcome to SSA. First off, ported will not go lower, that is very dependent on the box and build.
