February 14, 200916 yr Why the double only on the right side?EDIT: Nvm, my eyes were playing tricks on me lol. Edited February 14, 200916 yr by kram3r
February 14, 200916 yr Why the double only on the right side?I see two double baffles?Looks good Jon, it's just a basic ported box, there isn't much too it.
February 14, 200916 yr You like? it's for my 12" shades but it can be modified. How was that design written up? and what are the specs on the box?I really want to make a box like that but i only know how to write up slot port designs.
February 14, 200916 yr It was made with AutoCAD. I didn't design it BTW.It is a slot port I don't know what your asking.
February 14, 200916 yr Author im sorry i posted poorly.. yes its for 2 nightshade 15's its 1 inch birtch...even the port.... and the front baffle is gonna be 2 inch... should be tuned around 34 hrz or so. i will do 45's in the cornors. and im gonna round the inside port well. im trying to get alot of air moving with this box... those are my max dementions in my car. duran i like your box.. but its for 12s and almost already my max!
February 14, 200916 yr Author I would put 45's in the T port to help direct airflow.show me a nice t port please:D
February 14, 200916 yr Author umm... the nice guy that did that design told me if i wanted to tune lower to make an L along the port ... but i dont wanan tune lower.. but i do want the flow of air to lead to the port and not into eachothers air space.
February 14, 200916 yr Author i noticed that the t port you showed me was my specs... can you work up somthing like that.. i need a blue print that i can just hand the box builder... and he can get to work.... thanks
February 14, 200916 yr Yes, I can add all the dimensions to it. The way the design is now it is at 3.41ft^3 @ 34.19Hz. That is using the displacement of the IA DP 15 as I couldnt find the NS displacement, they should be similar displacements. If that is something you would want I'll add the dimensions, just let me know.
February 14, 200916 yr Author 3.41for each sub after port and sub? how much more air space will ilose if i 45 the back twocornors of the box?
February 14, 200916 yr 3.41for each sub after port and sub?Yeshow much more air space will ilose if i 45 the back twocornors of the box?Using the smallest 45 of them already in there and placing it in the corner. I got it at 3.39ft^3 @ 34.29Hz with 15.48In^2/Ft^3 per chamber.
February 14, 200916 yr i'll have to come check this out next time im out in your area bigjon. should be back in austin in a few weeks.
February 14, 200916 yr Forgot to put the cutouts for the subs but I'm sure you can find the center of the board and draw a circle.Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.
February 16, 200916 yr Sorrry to jack the tread, but what is the name of the program ya'll are using to draw the enclosure.
February 16, 200916 yr OH NO I MADE A MISTAKE.. MY HIGTH IS ONLY 21 INCHES!!! If you subtract the 2" from the height the enclosure ends up to be 3.04ft^3 @ 34.6Hz with 15.63in^2/ft^3 after all displacements. Sorrry to jack the tread, but what is the name of the program ya'll are using to draw the enclosure.Google sketch up.
