February 19, 200916 yr FEA analyzed and optimized motor assemblyi noticed all the DC subs are 'FEA' designed.. what does it mean, any got an article on it?thanksLong story short. After you figure out what size gap you are using, voice coil size and material, type and size magnets, type and amount of steel. You then run several FEA models on the motor and find ways to shave off steel (to save money on the motor) or redirect the travel of magnatic energy with the top plate, back plate, and pole piece. Then you can go even futher with the Eddy currents and so on and so forth.... Hope this helps ??
