Posted February 20, 200916 yr While not as graphic as the table saw, they aren't pretty either.We were doing combatives today (think mma without fists) and i went to roll over and got a jacket sleeve to the right eye lid. On the way down caught a forearm to the lip. Went to turn back around and got caught in a rear naked choke..............Needless to say i split my tongue about 3/4 of the way through. Required 5 stitches...............2 internal, 3 external.On to the pics...In the truck en route, and 2 in the hospital bathroomAFTER EXAM BEFORE STITCHING (note the needle size)STITCHED THE FUCK UPJ

February 22, 200916 yr yikes...that blowskinda had something similar, but freshman year in hs, i split my bottom lip in two. had to get 5 stitches, definitely not fun eating.

February 23, 200916 yr Author Its getting better. Last night ate a hot dog with bun and a a LITTLE bit of ketchup on it with a fork and knife. Took me about 45 mins to eat it. Keep in mind I was talking some too but still.Tonight had 2 small slices of a sheet pizza with mushrooms and black olives. That didnt take too long but was hard to eat. Thanks for the well wishes and hopefully the stitches are out by Wednesday.J
February 25, 200916 yr Author UPDATE:Stitches on the ends popped last night. The tongue rejected them. So I went to the er today cause they were THROBBING all night. Well they yanked the stitches and gave me more 'make shit numb' stuff. I gotta let it heal on its own now and may bery well have a large bump or 4 on my tongue for the rest of my life. I am looking at a possible week or two more to heal.J
February 25, 200916 yr Eh you don't need stitches...rub some dirt on it and you will be fine.I do hope you get better though...I guess the girlfriend is missing the tongue for the next couple nights?
