It hit a little higher, so more audible, louder to the ear, while still having some ok lowend. I'm glad i did it, i guess i ain't a 28hz tuning guy, that was too deep to me.

I played my Q's all the way up to 80 w/o issue. They were 12"s ported tuned to 32. Are you sure about the tuning?

I agree with the others you cant expect a sub to play mid bass tones like that. All i can honestly say is get a few 10s and try higher tuning. Had a buddy do that it dipped into the 80s pretty well but subs still aren't meant for that.
