March 19, 200520 yr They shouldn't have put the Northstar engine in it.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Plus 1.I'd seen so many problems when they rolled those out in the mid 90's. Granted they have improved, but I'm still leary. I've heard of persistent problems as recent as the '02 model year.-Nick
March 19, 200520 yr Author Getting pretty excited for Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.Hopefully I'll be getting around 30-45 minutes in each car. I know it's not a whole lot, but I can usually tell just by sitting in it if I like it or not ... if not, within the first two minutes or under hard acceleration
March 19, 200520 yr I was merely comparing the car to its German counterparts. Hence the lack of quality comparison. I won't go any further with that. As far as it being near a Vette, eh, close, but you can have a Z06 for less money with better performance and looks IMO. They shouldn't have put the Northstar engine in it.it's not the northstar....it's the ls2...IIRC..i'll lookhey, we all have our opinions...no reason to back off of urs...btw...the cts-v is $53k....a z06 is a lil more...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
March 20, 200520 yr Author I'll be sure to have fun.I'll type up my notes on each vehicle when I get back and put them on here.I don't know if I'll bring anything back. I'd like to, but we'll have to see.

March 23, 200520 yr Author The video crew would have had their fair shair of laughs. The vehicles that didn't have to be accompanied by a sales rep (WRX and a couple others) were slammed through the gears and, well, tested ... just how they should be.I'm back. Didn't buy anything. Have a pretty good idea of what I need to look into further and drive some more. I'll try and get the notes typed up and posted later on tonight. There's a lot of type up.
March 24, 200520 yr blue on background was painful... but managable.Very nice... I appreciate it.I have to agree with your rankings, based on little experience and plenty of articles.Get an M5. or the AMG.But, only if feasible.Then.... take pics. Of burnouts. Long ones. In the snow.-Nick
March 24, 200520 yr Author Color change ... blue to orange. Makes it a little easier to read. Typing up more as we speak.

March 25, 200520 yr Admin come on steve, you know you want it, only negative thing is that the insurance on any MB V8 is not cheap, and you might need to invest in Yokohama ES 100's every few months (I reccomend them because they are one of the harder composite tires that give excellent grip and good life with out paying a silly price)
March 26, 200520 yr Author I know ... I know ...I'll have to take a look at those Yoko's if I spring for the Merc.
