Alright so I have a 95 Saturn sl2. I as wondering what to do with my power cable because I cannot fit

It in between the negative terminal and the actual battery. So instead I have my power connected to my fuse box which..in my mind is putting so much less power and just not as hood as the direct connection to the battery. Is there like an extension to my terminal I can get or what should I do about this..

Sorry for bad Typing..using my phone

why is it called a "side" post terminal and what exactly do you do take out the terminal that's already in the black plastic covering and replace it with that?

Sorry for my vocAb it's kinda hard to talk about something without knowing the exact terms for the things

Side post terminal because GM attaches the battery cable to the side of the battery instead of the top. Take out the bolt that connects the battery wires to the battery then put this in place. It has a separate bolt that you remove so you can add a power wire with a ring terminal attached to it.

oh sweet i didnt think i could keep the factory wiring in those plastic boots...for some reason i figured id have to cut them... but anyways thanks you for posting that pic. i think ill be picking a set of terminals this weekend and doing my battery ground.

oh and by the way to the op. just to clarify its power to the + terminal not negative. im guess u just have a typo. (or i cant read)... and yes your deffinatly not getting as good a connection off the fuse box as the u would be with the batter. my car has a something like a 105 amp alt and i was getting dimming with 500rms kenwood class d amp with a connection off the fuseblock. for some reason the previous owner of my car cut that factory boot thing off the postive cables. (im guessing corrosion had something to do with it) and put a ghetto looking connection to the battery that i could use... think its time to fix that.

sorry for the highjack
