March 3, 200916 yr Author Yep 3 years of saving money!!I bought most of the gear last summer. It's been killing me just looking at it sitting in boxes.I'll have mass pics as soon as I get cranking on it again.I left off with the Big 3 and some layout ideas.Got the enclosure basically nailed out on TermPak, andI might get to start on the enclosure this weekend.Although there's still a lot of wires to run in the cab.
March 3, 200916 yr be careful with those speakers on good power. I fried a pair lolNice gear though!!
March 3, 200916 yr Author it's about time you came over to this forumnow go build something Well it was your swift kick in the arse that got me here! lolI like this place, lots and lots of info here.....Especially about my new favorite subs SSA!
March 5, 200916 yr Author Guess what I got today from a man in a big brown truck!! Both of them came in unharmed, and built solid as hell!I am VERY impressed! :clap:Warm weather this weekend too!Back to the grindstone!!
March 17, 200916 yr Author Sunny and in the 70's today!Time to carve on the enclosure for these Icon's....Dual common chamber 8cf3 plus displacements tuned to 29hz.Just a few more nice days and it'll be time toslam it into the bed for some marks. The rear of the enclosure will house the amp rack, and maybe the secondary battery if space allows.
March 18, 200916 yr Author Coming along nicely!Where are you located in Ohio?A little city called Harrison, 15minutes from Cincinnati. After the enclosure's done the tree will fall!!! LOLIt caught a disease last fall and all the needles dropped. Edited March 18, 200916 yr by Jay-C76
March 22, 200916 yr Author Spent a few hours on the enclosure today.I figure one more day and it'll be painted & wrapped.
March 22, 200916 yr Author Whew! Almost finished with the enclosure!!!Oooooooo, shiney new router!!!!I still have to fill some screw heads on the sides, add in the amprack, paint, and wrap the sucker. Then it's on to the side pods for the rear 6x9's,and secondary battery rack.
March 25, 200916 yr Author no sound matt on those doors?I haven't put it in yet.I still have +100 sq.ft. to install. Thanks for the comments guys!Thumpper's trained me well on the enclosure skills.I tip my hat to him for sure!It also helps that I've been woodworking since I was 9 , so power tools are no fear to me....My father used to have a nice shop building custom desks and furniture.Plus a little sanding goes a long way!I did a little work today but nothing worth posting up pics, unless you like to see mitered bracing......
March 25, 200916 yr Admin Glad they made it there safe! Very complex box, wish I was closer to hear your install.
