Posted March 4, 200916 yr When connecting the batt under the hood to the batt in the back does a fuse need to be used in the power wire or can you just connect front batt to the rear batt?
March 4, 200916 yr I'm pretty sure you don't need a fuse, but don't play your system for long periods of time without the vehicle running or it will kill both batteries unless you have a battery isolator.
March 4, 200916 yr You need to fuse as close to EACH battery as possible.Yeah, one reason, if you get sideswiped and that wire gets pinched and there is no fuse to pop then you might be buying a whole new car after the fire.
