Hey im in the market for a new headunit looking to spend between $200 and $300. Functions i need direct ipod connect with controlls, Atleast three pre amp out puts, seprate sub control. I have been looking at the Kenwwod decks online but have nowhere around me to mess with them in person. Also considering Alpine and maybe pioneer but not really liking the button layout of the new ones. If some one could help me out i would appreciate it.

Thanks

i just picked up the pioneer DEH-P510UB and i'm blown away with how it is. for 260$ i was double thinking it but it turned out to be a good unit.

Can't go wrong with the Kenwood.

I still rather recommend the JVC 7500 and can be had dirt cheap of ebay. Picked mine up for 120, lol! Was a 400 dollar deck MSRP.

That or the 8500, which has a DC converter and if you go through Sonic, you can get the iPod adaptor with it for under 200 smacks, and has active capabilities.

After getting new radios I can never justify going back to Pioneer.

Other H/U just don't have the problems Pioneers have.

The thing that drove me away where the HORRIBLE RCA's. When I had my iPod hooked up, the whole thing slowed down horribly.

A lot of problems with Pioneers is the pitco fuse, which I have had happen in my 880. However I bought the deck used and not sure if I blew it or the other guy did.

Ended up selling it and the guy sent it in to get fixed and hasn't had a problem since.

I loved my 880 besides that. Wish I still had it, but rough times happened, so I got rid of it. :(

I recently got a Panasonic and love it so far!!

Most of my Team mates run Alpine H/U's, the 9887 mostly. I wanted one as well, but I got a hook up on the Panasonic

Nothing wrong with a Panasonic.

I love my point and shoot Panasonic camera. :)
