Posted March 8, 200916 yr As title stated im looking into the mach5 IXL. Getting a sae1200 and i was looking into the ssa icon and the fi q or even th fi bl, doing a single 12 . Then i started looking at the mach 5. good price and nice specs. How do they compare to the others i listed? and does anyone have imput or imfo on these subs?

March 9, 200916 yr If getting loud is your first priority, get the BL. I only put 1000w to mine and it was loud (for what it was) and still sounded like a good daily driver sub. The q, icon, and ixl are meant to sound good with getting loud being an added plus. If you are planning on using a sealed enclosure you can rule out the BL. Each one of those drivers you listed can sound good on all types of music and handle the power from the 1200d but it will greatly depend on the enclosure you are going to use. Can you give us some input on your goals from your system, and if you have a budget?Think im want more of a good sounding sub that blends well with a set of ID CTX 6.5. Budget is no more than 200-225 for sub. Thinking of a ported box tune around 32hz. If i dont like the ported then switch to sealed. Vehicle chevy s-10 blazer
March 9, 200916 yr A REAL good sub I like is the Audio Que HDC3 12"It would be $270 shipped to you. Well worth the money. IMO It is comparable to the DD 9512.http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm Edited March 9, 200916 yr by bassahaulic

March 10, 200916 yr You will have no regrets with the IXL. Someone didn't read what you asked for as the AQ or DD does not at all fit with what you are looking for.
