n the next couple weeks i plan on starting to order everything for my system so i can have it done by summer.

i am stuck between the HDC312 and BTL12.... i have heard the btl in person and am in love with it, and also have heard nothing but good things from people that own them. to me they just seem like an overall better choice, but that may just be because of all the good i have heard/seen about them.

the HDC312 people are telling me is comparable to the BTL12, can take just as much power as the BTL, and can get just as loud. i dont know how true that is, but if it is on the same level as the BTL i would consider buying it, especially for the price. also from what a lot of people that own the sub tell me they have their boxes tuned n the mid to high 30's...i want mine low 30's high 20's maybe and i dont know how they perform there.

for the price if the HDC3 is at the same level as the BTL i think that is a good deal, but i would be more than willing to pay the price for the BTL's because i know what they can do and handle. they have been my choice for quite some time now and i know they can handle what i want to throw at them.

i know what im getting with the BTL's which is why i'd pay the price, but if i can save some cash and buy something that can compete with it im all for it....im stuck..

suggestions guys??

if you need more clarity or if any of that didnt make sense let me know.....i typed it kinda quick

Matt you know MY answer

I love my AQs, never had a problem with them. I have mine at about 3.8 cubic feet before displacement. I have it tuned to 36hz. I wouldve tuned higher but I'm actually nervous to do so. But over all good heavy as hell, subwoofer.

Go with the one that fits your budget. Alot of great sub choices and the ones mentioned above are great, can't go wrong with any of them.

keep your eyes on the XCON, very good sq and loves the lows too. Should be another great option for you. Price point on the 15" is $389!

thanks for bringin that up man! COMPLETELY slipped my mind....may have to wait for those to come out.

would you say will get loud and put up good numbers and still have good sq?

and to OldSkool...they are all in my budget, its just a matter of which sub is the better choice for what im looking at....there is so much out there in the market now its hard to make a decision.

im sure whatever decision i do make i will be satisfied with it, but i just want to make the best one.

The Xcon's should be out SOON! Wait for those, be one of the first to have! :)

I vote xcon's :)

I have. Yes it wont give you the smoothest response due to the insane amount of motor force, that doesn't mean you cant use it daily ;) It means you want to be LOUD.

These can still be used daily but are a bit more towards the SPL side than the Nightshade.

i may just wait for the xcon....never disappointed with sundown.

You shouldn't tune in the high 20's, not at all fitting with your goals.

could you explain? im thinking 29-33hz...in there somewhere.

alright, well i dunno what you personally consider loud.

but i listen to music with lots of lows....to me thats what i consider loud. lows that make it hard to breath...blurr your vision. that kidna think. i know highs to the same but thats just what i consider loud.

i think what M5 is saying is, that it will be loud, but not to the ear...?
