I found a pic of what the old stereo looked like before, didn't look bad at all IMO, but the functionality of it just wasn't there. The amps ran really hot also...and subs kept popping..

Update: We took the old bracket for the compressors out and cut it up, mounted each compressor on the sides of the trunk (w/plexi window back lit later on!), this way it will open up the back of the car. Made a false floor with hinges so the owner will have access to all the goodies under it, cut the rear deck for the box to fit properly, and notched the back seat crossmember so that the factory wires and run of power wire can be out of the way of the box.

On to the pics...

UPdate: Today we decided to build the face plate for the box. This will eventually be wrapped in black like everything else and should turn out just fine. This is my first time playing with a fiberglass mold so don't be too hard on me :)

looks awesome only thing i see a problem with is the compressors, are they sealed off from the rest of the trunk, you might make the compressors work to hard to suck in air, if those are Viars, you can mount a remote intake on the outside of the trunk to get more air flow.

just a thought

behind them is open to the rest of the trunk, and there's also a vent on behind each compressor on the rear quarters on each side. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they'll be fine.

ok cool sounds fine just wanna be sure you can get it off the ground, and not kill them compressors ive had 2 sets myself, and wasn't to happy about that.
