Posted March 12, 200916 yr Help be decide which sub's is better for my project. I want to do a blow through in a 2006 ford f-150 super crew.This past weekend I heard two addictive audio aa15v3 in a ford ranger, it sounded really good.But, I have never heard a Fi BTL. What do you guys think? What is a better sub? Has anyone heard both sub's? The only think that draws my attention of the addicive audio is that it has a warranty for three years, and I don't know if Fi has any warranty or not.
March 12, 200916 yr well both are good subs but the btl will be alot better in spl...but it says on the fi audio site that they do not have a warranty on the btl's you can check it out under warranty!! but the btls are pretty damn hard to blow considering they handle up to 4000 watts +!

March 12, 200916 yr Never listened to the AA15, but looking at the specs, I would take the BTL. I know I am partial to Fi/AA, but the BTL has more motor force, solid pole with additional cooling channels, more XMax, and definitely more power handling.BTL does not have warranty, but if you have a problem with a BTL, it is more than likely going to be a user error/problem that is not going to fall under just about anyone's warranty. I have run BTL's well beyond the designed limits and NEVER had a problem with one!Brian

March 13, 200916 yr keep in mind, you're gonna spend about 3 times what you spend on the subs just for amps and the electrical to power them when dealing w/ that much power

March 16, 200916 yr Just Get The Damn Things Fully Loaded, You'll Probably Never Blow One If You Do. Last I Checked They're At An Even $500 For A Fully Loaded 18". Get The Cooling (Which Will Add The P Chamfer As Well), The HiXmCoil, And The Induct Heat Ring. Whether You Want Them Universal Is Up To You, The Voice Coil's Impedance Can Be Changed At A Later Time During A Recone If This Option Is Chosen. And For Damn Sure Get The Daily Option Unless You Just Want To Fart Them At A SPL Comp. Depending On The Amp/Amps, You Can Decide Which Coil Option You Need. There Is No Such Thing As Overkill In A Subwoofer, These Options May Seem Unwanted, But With Them, It's Highly Unlikely...Let Me Rephrase That, Impossible, To Blow Them With Any Power You Could Throw At Them, Unless You Have A Stetsom 7kd Or Something Like That On One.
March 19, 200916 yr minimum 2400.00 on amps thats just to power subs not highs or mids i dont see anyone posting this question if they are serious about spending about 5000.00 dollars plus on an audio system. they would alrady know the answer to the question. i would spend the money on amps then realize what subs you could push or afford with it.
