Posted March 22, 200520 yr which box (in your opinion) would be better suited for my 2 RL-p's?a 5ft sealed or 5ft net ported @ 36Hz?listening to my setup for a while (ported@36) i noticed that it peaks alot more than my boxes tuned @ 30 and i'm kinda missing my LOW notes. if i tune the ported box lower, it will drop the net lower than 5, with recommended at 2.5/per i dont want to go lower than that. so what do you think?
March 22, 200520 yr if you want the low end extension, go sealed...and upgrade your amplifier power if you can, without sending the drivers into power compression (unless you're already there).

March 23, 200520 yr Ideally you'd want the 5 cu ft tuned down to 28 Hz.. but I guess you don't have enough space for that, so go 4.25 cu ft sealed You'll sacrifice some output, but the sealed setup should get lower than the 36 Hz tune.
March 23, 200520 yr the iron law of subs...if you want loud low frequency extension, you need space.anything else is simply the best compromise you can make it
