Will tuning to 35hz be good for daily driving? Alot of people say that tuning is a little to high for a btl. What do you think?

forgot to mention the enclosure will be around 7 cubes

I use to tune to 30-32hz a lot but was missin out in the high 30s to mid 40 range. It wasn't no where near as loud.

(i am referencing ported boxes, not subs)

So now, i tune 38-40hz for subs that have high XMech values because they can drop low enough for me and still be crazy loud in the 40hz range.

Example - i am currently tuned to 38hz.

My Subsonic filter is set to 24Hz. See what i mean? Audibly, the design drops to around 30-31hz before it's mostly mechanical noise but no music i listen to is loud below that so it's perfect for me. I listen to plenty of rap, rock, techno

i see what your saying most rap music doesnt drop below 30 hz anyway correct? I think 35hz may be a good tune for my taste

I tune at 34-35 and don't have any problems with the rap music I play. . .

you should also consider how much space you have for port, if you want to tune lower you might need more space. i'm with shizzon and brian in that 35hz should be fine for a daily driver.
