Anyone ever been on a cruise? Thoughts/experiences/etc.

Don't want to drive across the US coast to coast, I want to relax. Could fly to Italy again I guess.

I think this one would be the best - http://carnival.carnivalcruise.ca/ccl_crui...s_cruise=310386 link doesn't work - see below.

That's the only one out of Vancouver that goes to a different place than Alaska.

Yes, my family and I (11 of us in all) went on a 5 day cruise. We had to fly to Miami where the ship was. Oh btw the Company was Norwegian, ships name was sun. Anywho, we went to Grand Caymen, Roatan Bay, Belize, Cozumel. It was a very cool cruise plenty of things to do. There was a casino, game room, ahh golf driving range, bars etc etc. The stops were all very cool as well, my dad and I would scuba dive while the rest would do whatever. All n all it was an 8 out of 10 just b/c I went with my family.

If you would like to know more just let me know.

That just sold me :P

I wouldn't flying somewhere fairly close if I got a 'better' (they're all frickin' amazing) ship + a better location (been to Hawaii already).

Maybe somewhere in California. Actually, I really wouldn't mind moving there

I just got back from California not but 2 days ago. First time to go, was cool. I went to San Francisco. People that live in big cities are jerks though, that was the only downside. Here in Arkansas people are nice, those big cities they get attitudes over the dumbest sh*t.

I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise last summer, and it was AMAZING. We went on a 7-day cruise, and went to Labadee, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. VERY good time. :)

We were on the biggest cruise ship out there, the Mariner of the Seas. Here's a link to the boat

tommy I noticed in your photo album you have the stingray pic. Is that the place where you go out on a boat and they take you to this part in the ocean where there are like hundreds of stingrays. If so, I was there it was pretty cool. Did you feed any of them? :lol2:

Yeah, that was in Grand Cayman. We took a 30-45 minute boat ride to this sand bar that was smack in the middle of the ocean, no land anywhere near it. Tons of stingrays everywhere. :)

I got to feed a few of them. The things are like vacuum cleaners. :woot:

Actually, I had seen your pictures on ... I want to say SIN?  Seemed like an amazing experience - even just looking at the pictures.  The towels shaped into animals is just plain cool.

They got me thinking ... oh, and we blame you for spending money on this ;)

yeah, i posted them in a thread on SIN too. Cruises seem to be a popular topic of conversation. :)

Lol, go ahead and blame me, it'll be worth it. ;)

I was afraid to feed them. I was afraid it would take my whole hand. hahaha

I went there. Stingray City. Only thing different was I was scuba diving down with the stingrays and feeding them out of my hand. Cool stuff.

I tried to catch a ride on one but it didn't work.

that's the only place we went that I did not scuba dive. ::sighs:: stuff there was really cool. Cozumel had to have had the best visibility out of all the stops we made, see previous posts for my stops :P.

I touched the sting rays, I just didn't feed them.

The water in Cozumel/Playa Del Carmen (well the water i SWAM in:)) was the BEST water on the whole trip. It was so clear and warm, it was basically like taking a bath. A salty bath yes, but a bath nonetheless. :)
