Posted March 31, 200916 yr alpine 9886 vs eclipse cd5000What do you guys think. the eclipse had 8 volt preamp outputs but the alpine works great with the ipod. Im looking for the best of both worlds

March 31, 200916 yr Neither. They are both in terrible spots in the line up. The 9886 is a very, very handicapped 9887 and the 5000 is a joke. I'd either spend less or more but not buy at that price point.
March 31, 200916 yr Admin I agree, I feel the HU is one of the places you do not want to skimp on, and is almost worth spending the extra money for the better unit with higher quality parts and greater features.
April 1, 200916 yr Author any one have any other suggestions. Im looking for a high quality deck that works pretty well with a ipod. Not really looking to go active
