at first i was planning on getting the pioneer, then i realized the 2v preouts on the pioneer vs. the 5v preouts on the eclipse. security code on eclipse vs. no security code on pioneer. but are there any known mechanical problems with the eclipse since it is a motorized faceplate and the pioneer isnt? my friend has the 6620 and his cd always gets stuck.

I would personally get the Pioneer over the Eclipse. The graphics on the Pioneer will look much better and there are lots of options you can choose from for the subs and sound. The only reason I would choose the Eclipse is because its 7" screen. Thats why it costs more as well.

I'd go with the Pioneer. That's just my personal opinion. I've worked with that exact Pioneer and its a very good unit to say the least, and it has built in bluetooth which the Eclipse doesn't. A nice hands free kit is a big selling point for me, I don't know about you.

The GPS works very well and is pretty easy to use on the Pioneer.

Pioneer FTW.

And 5v pre outs aren't anything special, you just get to set the gains on an amp lower, or risk damagin equipment.
