What is peoples opinions on it, and where do you find the specs on it?

Well if it's anything like the old jackhammer. It's most likely a POS

Don't Like MTX, Don't Like A Craphammer, Square Or Round.

this thread should be closed right now IMO...there is more than likely going to be alot of false, second hand,or made up info flying around here from people that has never even seen this sub..im in no way a fan of MTX or the Jackhammer and, although highly unlikely, but maybe they have learned their leason from the original jackhammer..

There was nothing wrong with the original Jackhammer aside from the fact it was grossly over-engineered, too expensive, and just too massive.

The basket was rediculous (sp)

Didn't it have a 2.5" Xmax?

:nothingtoadd:

hope that wasnt geared to me, cuz not only do i not know of any special prises being given out for post whoring on this particular forum, but I haven't got much love around here anyway to begin with so i got nothin to prove to anyone around here by having a high post count, whatever that would mean

WHOA MAN, Mad Mike says its good im buyin.

they had a comparison "test" between the 9500 vs the w7 and then they did another about y a square sub is so pointless.....but then they took maybe the two biggest caraudio boners ever and put them together....the jackhammer and a square sub..

its only a matter of time untill they figure out how to implement the W7 into a woofer....there will be noobs everywhere hitting"200 deebeez" with their mtx 1 farad caps and their 4000 watt max amps in prefab boxes...we wont be able to stop them...theyll taunt us...theyll say that they have never heard of our equipment and that "it must be from walmart"....we will all perish in their wake od distorted bass and muddy stock front stages....

so i say we stop this monster that calls itself MXT before it becomes the next Microsoft....

i say we march on mtx and kill it....

The old jackhammer is a good woofer, for what it is. The only downfalls are the price and the weight. There is an enormous amount of excess material on the basket. The only one I heard was installed in MTX's trailer and it was hella loud. It's just not economical. It was a good PR product though.

holt chit!

though it won't be no SQ woofer, the damn thing will move a chit TON of air!

Actually it has an SQ coil and soft parts and an SPL coil and soft parts ;)
