I know i should know this but do you have to match the cranking amp ratings on batteries to run them together? Or can you just run about any battery regardless of the amp ratings? Will they draw off of each other.

The only reason i ask is I've bin looking around the forums at alot of installs and have seen a couple mixed matched batteries linked together.

I have 2 optima redtops and i want to hook another battery to them without a isolater but don't want to spend another $160 on another redtop battery.

Any help would be appreciated

    as long as the vehicle doesnt sit for a long period of time you should be fine just keep it the same type (seeled) dont want any dangerous gas fumes in the car.
