Ok i have a 03 silverado extended cab and im wanting to put either 2 12 q, or 2 ssd under the rear seat in a sealed box that has .82 airspace for each chamber and a 7 in mounting depth. i dont know what subs would be best because i really want something that would make people stare lol any advise would be greatly appreciated

I would suggest the Q. Higher Quality sub.

What amp are you using?

I would be careful with the mounting depth too. I dont know if the Q will fit, it will definitely be close.

Small sealed box does not equal people staring.

Small sealed box built to subwoofer specs will equal excellent sound quality as long as it has a quality amplfier driving it within limits.

Give us some more info on your setup. (Amp, goals, electrical)

You want people to stare.... get 2 bls, take back seat out, make big ported box, get good 3k amp, then your in biznizz! :fing34:

Is this box already made? because you sound like you have the exact specs for it. You may want to rethink your goals of turning heads with that little of space just like old skool said.

yes the box is already made. its a down fireing box. ive been thinking about the FIs because of the reviews i read but never heard them. i cant take my back seat out because i need the room but i want something that would turn heads. I have a boss 7" touch screen in dash, 1000 watt performance teqnique amp, monster cables were ran from the guy before me. he had 2 jl 10 w0v2 in it. so should i even be lookking at the FIs or do i not have enough space?

I would remove the existing box you have and build a new ported box for 1 12" woofer instead. You might even go with a 10" to save some space.

The SSD fully loaded in a properly sized enclosure will give you the output you're looking for.

X2, an ideal ported enclosure with an SSD or Q should get u pretty loud. there arent many people with systems where i live, so most people are really impressed with my 2 10's sealed off of 250 watts. making jaws drop is a matter of the audience IMO
